The trip back to Ipoh is wasted!! When I called my mom about the hall, my dad was implying the office is open on weekend but it was not. I planned to meet the wedding planner for the quotation on the wedding packages and book them for our wedding. Since the date is not confirmed, we are unable to do anything yet.
Today my mom called to inform me that the hall is not available until Dec as they are in the midst of renovation. However, Heritage Banquet Hall is available at the price 15000 which include food. That is way out of budget. I would rather spend the money for an extravagance honeymoon.
With that, we booked Silveritage Hall for the whole day on 10th Oct. Why the whole day you would ask? Because I am planning to have a night wedding reception and if I book for the night, they would allow other people to use the hall for an afternoon event. Which means we can only starts decorating the hall after 4PM. That will be disaster. And 10th Oct because 3rd was taken.

Dream shattered..
I’m planning to book the Town Hall for my wedding. Owhh.. I’m sooo in love with the beautiful building. I bet you would too :)
I am not sure if I can secure the hall for my wedding, cause from what I’ve heard you need to do your booking years ahead. Without putting much hope on it, I called mom to get her to check if the hall is available on Oct 3rd. I told her to survey other hall as well just in case, I need plan B for safety measure. My 2nd option would be Silveritage Hall.
We’ll be going back to Ipoh on the weekend to confirm the hall.

We are getting married!!!
Finally we’ve decided to tie the knots. I know this is surprising since I’ve been telling people that I have no plan to get married in the near future and I wasn’t kidding back then.
We were actually discussing on our upcoming engagement in May when both of us decided it would be better if we get married this year instead. We started with the date. Not the easiest task, I must say.
After 7 years of blissful and heartbreaking memories, it’s safe to say we’re ready to embark on a new journey :)
And this is just the beginning. I’ll be sharing my experience in planning my own wedding here. Enjoy reading.
p/s: it's Oct 3rd 2009
